PLDC - Tehran, Dr. Amin Noroozi, the vice-medical officer for Esteghlal Club said, “Unfortunately, Farhad Majidi does not accompany our team to Saudi Arabia due to his sharp back pain."  He does his preparation trainings in Tehran. This decision is made by the team medical cadre and him.

Majidi stepped in the pitch at the second half of the play against Sepahan and tried very hard to score a goal.

Majidi who had scored important goals for his team in the second half-season, told the team coach that he was not ready to kick the penalty to Sepahan and finally Esteghlal lost to Sepahan and was knocked out in the penalty shootout.

Now it is known why he did not want to kick a penalty.
