TehranChronicle - Eamon Zayed, the former player of Persepolis FC, is one of those memorable strikers in the history of Tehran derby. On 2 February 2012, he came on as a substitute in his second appearance for Reds in Tehran derby. His side was two goals behind Esteghlal FC and Zayed scored a hat-trick in less than 10 minutes. In that time, Parviz Mazloomi was in charge of Blues. Now Mazloomi has switched for Aluminium Hormozgan.

“I can’t forget that night when I scored three goals for Persepolis FC and helped the team to win that important match. It is still my best memory from Iran and during my professional career. By the way, I’m currently concentrating on the success of Aluminium Hormozgan in Iran Pro League.” Eamon Zayed told Tehran Chronicle.

“As a player I’m ready to give my best to Mazloomi’s team. He is one the best coaches in Iran who claimed two titles with Esteghlal FC during his presence. He has also showed his respect toward me and this is promising.” The Libyan-Irish striker concluded.

On January 11 2013, Zayed joined another Iranian club, Aluminium Hormozgan and signed a contract with this team until the end of the season. He used to play for Bray Wanderers, Drogheda United, Sporting Fingal and Derry City in Ireland.
