PLDC - Tehran, Mehdi Mahdavikia announced that he is no longer present in football pitches, but he will wear Persepolis shirt only if Persepolis advances to Hazfi Cup Final and will then bid farewell to football for good.

According to ISNA, after Mahdavikia’s recovery and his readiness, the Persepolis technical cadre crossed its former captain off the list, so in a meeting held between Mahdavikia and Golmohammadi, Mahdavikia realized that the Persepolis technical cadre does not need him any longer; therefore, in an interview with ISNA he announced that he will not be present in football pitches.

Of course, according to Mahdavikia, if Persepolis advances to Hazfi Cup Final, the captain of the reds will play for a few minutes wearing the team’s shirt to bid farewell to his fans.

Nevertheless, following negotiations, Mahdavikia is to attend the team’s training and end up his job normally away from any rumor.
