TEHRANTIMES - Persepolis football team suffered a defeat against Rah Ahan in Iranian Professional League (IPL) on Sunday.

Rah Ahan striker Alireza Azimi scored the only goal of the match in the 57th.

Afterward, Persepolis put Rah Ahan under pressure but failed to equalize.

“We played well and earned a good victory against Persepolis. Alireza Azimi, who scored our goal, is 19-year-old and I am so happy for him because he was playing for the first time at the Azadi Stadium,” Rah Ahan coach Ali Daei said in the post-match news conference.

Elsewhere, Foolad pummeled Gahar 4-1 in its home game, Naft defeated Sepasi 2-1 and Aluminium and Zob Ahan played out a goalless draw.
