TEHRANTIMES - Traktorsazi coach Antonio Jose Conceicao Oliveira said on Wednesday that Friday’s game against Esteghlal could be a title decider in the Iran Professional League (IPL).

“It is one of our most important matches of the season. It could even determine the IPL champion. Match against Esteghlal is an important match not only for Traktorsazi but also for people of East Azerbaijan Province,” the Portuguese said.

“Traktorsazi has progressed well in the current season. Unfortunately, we are facing financial problems. We will do our best against Esteghlal to get a good result and I think the winner would win the title,” Oliveira added.

Esteghlal is at the top of the table with 56 points, followed by Traktorsazi and Sepahan with 55 and 53 points respectively.

IPL leader will host Traktorsazi in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium on Friday.
