PLDC - Tehran, Asian Football Federation praised the Lebanese Team instead of foreclosing it for its football cleansing.

The Lebanese team, whose players’ match-fixing scandal in the game against Qatar was proved, was praised by the Asian Football Federation instead of being fined.

AFC announced that it had appreciated the Lebanon Football Federation for its efforts to cleanse football.

At present, Iran Football Federation cannot do anything and Iran Football authorities are forced to cope with the situation. If the Asian Football Federation verdict were decisive about the Lebanese players’ match-fixing with Qatar National Team and suspended the Lebanese Team, Team Melli would go for the World Cup easily by omitting the Lebanese points and reach the top of its ranking table.

On the other hand, FIFA has not reacted to this event. Maybe, they have the file in hand so that if a similar case like Mohammed Bin Hammam happens, they easily use this file against the head of the Asian Football Federation.
