AFC - AFC Champions League participating Al Jazira have sacked Brazilian coach Paulo Bonamigo and appointed Spanish Luis Milla as the head coach just four days before their tricky away ACL 2013 opener against Iranian debutant Tractor Sazi.

According to the official UAE Pro League website, Al Jazira's Board of Directors released an official statement following the Club's 4-1 victory over Al Dhafra on Thursday night to announce the sacking of coach Bonamigo.

The club also revealed that the decision was taken due to unsatisfactory results which did not match the ambitions of the club.

Milla was the head coach of Spanish Olympic team in London 2012 which bowed out of the group stages of the competition. His first charges with the team will be the Tuesday’s ACL 2013 opener against Tractor in Group A.

Al Jazira, who had an impressive 2012 ACL campaign, are currently six points behind leaders Al Ain who suffered a shocking defeat at the hands of Dibba Al Fujairah on Thursday.
