Persepolis, Foolad in stalemate [VIDEO]



TEHRANTIMES - The match between Persepolis and Foolad football teams in Iran Professional League (IPL) ended in a draw on Wednesday.


Plucky Foolad extended its unbeaten run in IPL to 16 matches with a goalless draw against Persepolis in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.

Foolad moved up to third place, four points adrift of Esteghlal at the top of the IPL table.

“I am happy since it was a beautiful match. Both of teams created some dangerous chances. I feel we could have won the match. Foolad players didn’t take advantage of their chances in the second half,” Foolad coach Hossein Faraki said in the post match news conference.
