Jesus Candelas named Iran’s futsal interim coach



TEHRANTIMES - Jesus Candelas Rodrigo has been appointed as interim coach of Iran futsal team on Monday.


Jesus Candelas Rodrigo was appointed as technical director of Iran futsal team in September.

The 55-year-old Spaniard has coached Spanish futsal teams Interviu Boomerang, Mejorada and Caja Segovia.

“Jesus will coach Iran in two friendlies against Russia. He has been appointed as Interim coach of Iran futsal team,” head of Iran's Futsal Committee Reza Eftekhari said.

The 10-time Asian champion was eliminated from the 2012 Futsal World Cup, suffering a 2-1 loss against Colombia in the round of 16 in November.
