PLDC - Tehran, In reaction to Carlos Queiroz’s remarks about Persepolis on the BBC Television, Mohammad Royanian stated: “We always have to defend the rights of Persepolis so that this team can attain its goals in peace. With regard to Queiroz’s remarks in a foreign media I have to announce that if the head coach of Team Melli does not justify his statements within 72 hours, we will follow up the issue legally.”

He further added that, “We like Queiroz to announce his official position; otherwise, we clearly publicize the main problems of Persepolis and Team Melli, words that we have ignored until now.”

In an interview with BBC Persian TV, Queiroz said, “I think the reason for the weak paly of some of the Team Melli’s players is the weak performance of Persepolis within the last several months and unfortunately the Persepolis’ condition has also affected Team Melli. When I came to Iran, the number of the Persepolis players who were invited to Team Melli was about 4 to 5 players.  Now, when we added up the former players with the new players who have joined Persepolis, we realize that this number might reach 10 players of Team Melli in Persepolis. When these players come to Team Melli Camp they bring the same shape of their Club with them, and with regard to Persepolis conditions, they fail to play properly.”
