PFDC  - AHVAZ, Iranian offensive allrounder Arash Afshin returned to Iran after a more than a week long trial with French Ligue 1 outfits OSC Lille.

Despite featuring in two friendly matches, scoring a goal and assisting another, the coaching technical staff of Lille decided not to sign the 23-year-old.

Afshin is considered one of Iran's most promising talents of the past years, but recently struggled with injuries.

He scored 23 goals in 76 appearances for Foolad since 2009, five goals in 15 Olympic team caps and his sole goal in just four national team appearances against the UAE in the 2011 Asian Cup.
