TEHRANTIMES - Persepolis coach Manual Jose has resigned, Iranian media outlets reported on Saturday.
Last week, Yahya Golmohammadi replaced the Portuguese coach following poor results in the Iran Professional League.
Jose has said he will file a complaint to FIFA since he claimed Persepolis has not fulfilled its financial commitment.
Persepolis legal consultant Mostafa Shokri told the Persian service of the Mehr News Agency that the Portuguese unilaterally terminated his contract.
“We have received a letter in which Manuel Jose has unilaterally canceled his contract, but since we have not an article in our contract which allows a party to break the agreement, we presume Manuel Jose has resigned from his job,” he added.
In July 2012, Jose was appointed as the Persepolis coach on a one-year contract reportedly worth $1 million.
