TEHRANTIMES - The match between Gahar and Esteghlal football teams has been officially postponed due to heavy rain in Dorud, a city in western Iran.

The match was originally scheduled for Friday in Iran Hazfi Cup round of 16 but was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.

Gahar and Esteghlal will likely face on Saturday.

Esteghlal sports director Mansour Pourheydari has said they will not play Gahar on Saturday since Esteghlal is scheduled to play Aluminum in the Iran Professional League on Wednesday.

Elsewhere, Abu Moslem defeated Saba 2-1 in Mashhad, Sepahan edged Mes in Rafsanjan, Sepasi beat Saipa of Shomal 4-3 in a penalty shootout, Damash defeated Traktor Sazi 5-4 in a penalty shootout, Sanat Naft of Abadan beat Rah Ahan 3-2 and Zob Ahan saw off Shahrdari of Yasuj 1-0.
