KABIR - Libyan football player of Persepolis FC, Eamon Zayed, has agreed to cancel his contract with Tehran based club. The new head coach of Reds, Manuel José, didn’t believe in Eamon and he only got a few chances to play for his side in new season.
It’s being said that he had asked the officials of Persepolis FC to cancel his contract due to his ‘personal problems’. This has been confirmed by his Iranian agent. “The conditions were not okay for him so he decided to end his career in Tehran. Also he had some personal issues and couldn’t stay in Iran anymore.”
Local papers report that he may return to Iran in future for playing in another team rather than his former club. Accordingly Zayed has received several offers from Irish football clubs but he has not yet decided for his future.
Actually Zayed had a dramatic time in Iran. He scored three goals for Persepolis FC against its archrival Esteghlal FC in his second appearance. Then he turned into one of the most popular players between Reds’ fans. He also scored a hat-trick against Al-Shabab in AFC Champions League. Eamon Zayed’s hat-trick was the first hat-trick a Persepolis player had scored in the AFC Champions League.
