Six-star Persepolis humiliates Paykan, Veise resigns [VIDEO]



TEHRANTIMES - Persepolis football team crushed Pakan 6-0 in Iran Professional League (IPL) here on Wednesday.


Karim Ansarifard made a hat trick in this match. He scored in 36th, 48th and 57th minutes. Alireza Nourmohammadi (42nd), Mohammad Nouri (63rd) and Mohammad Ghazi (86th) each scored one goal for Persepolis.  

Paykan coach Abdollah Veisi resigned from his post after the heavy loss.

Elsewhere, Sepasi edged Saipa 1-0 in its home game, Malavan defeated rock bottom Aluminum 1-0 and moved to second place of the table, Zob Ahan and Rah Ahan played out a goalless draw, Saba was held to a goalless draw by Foolad and Sanat Naft drew 0-0 with Mes.

Esteghlal is on the top of the IPL standings table with 25 points, followed by Malavan and Tractor Sazi.
