TEHRANTIMES - Former Bayern Munich striker Vahid Hashemian was appointed as coach of German club SV Halstenbek-Rellingen on Thursday.


Hashemian, commonly known as “Helicopter”, will be introduced as the coach of the SV Halstenbek-Rellingen on Sunday.

Hashemian will sit on the bench against SV Lurup on Sunday.

The 36-year-old will assist Thomas Bliemeister in the team.

Vahid Hashemian started his career with Tehran-based football team Fath and then joined Hamburger SV in 1999. He has also played for VfL Bochum, Bayern Munich, Hannover 96 and Iranian football team Persepolis.

He has made 50 appearances for Iran football team and scored 15 goals.
