PFDC - PAMPLONA, About 18 months after sustaining a heavy foot injury, Masoud Shojaei finally returned to La Liga action in Osasuna's goalless draw with Betis Sevilla on Sunday.
After missing the complete last season injured and not making the squad in the first seven rounds, Shojaei came on as 84th minute substitute and received ovations of the home fans who chanted "Masoud" after the winger entered the field.
Shojaei came close to thanking the fans in perfect manner with a goal, but his promising effort in injury time was blocked.
Osasuna now stand in last position of La Liga with only five points collected so far.
Meanwhile both Reza Ghoochannejhad and Omid Nazari remained on the bench as Sint Truiden won and Ängelholms drew in Belgium and Sweden respectively.
