TEHRANTIMES - Recently retired Farhad Majidi is under consideration of Al Gharafa of Qatar football club, a report says.
A source close to Majidi said on Monday that the Qatari club is going to strengthen attacking line and they are negotiating with the former Esteghlal striker.
Majidi joined Al Gharafa on loan in the January transfer window last season. The 36-year-old played 15 times for the team and scored 6 goals.
Majidi has also played for the Emirati teams from 2000 to 2007 and then returned to Iran and played for Esteghlal once again for five years.
He is in Dubai now to visit Al Wasl coach Bruno Metsu, who has been hospitalized in the American Hospital Dubai due to colon cancer.
Majidi announced his retirement from football on Sept. 28 after Esteghlal refused to offer him an extension but it’s expected he comes out of retirement.
