TEHRANTIMES - Helena Costa is expected to be confirmed as the new coach of Iran’s Women football team.
The Portuguese coach came to Tehran on Sunday to negotiate with Iran Football Federation’s officials.
She has been Qatar’s Women football coach for two years as well as Celtic’s scout.
“It has been agreed to pay her 85,000 a year. Helena Costa also will be advisor to Iran Football Federation. She will pick the best players for the upcoming competitions,” vice-president of Iran Football Federation Farideh Shojaei said.
Iran is preparing itself for the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup qualifiers in Asian zone.
