PLDC - After the 2-2 draw of Esteghlal Tehran and Abu Moslem in the fourth
week of the Iranian Professional League, on Friday, 8th November, Ronald Koch
(Esteghlal head coach) spoke about the time of holding of the matches, “The football tournaments in Iran must be held in the night as they
are in Europe. This fact has a major role in the health of the players.”
“Iranian football players are able to make great progress but because the stadium conditions are far from ideal and possess bad grass they
cannot present a smooth performance. The out-of-Tehran clubs have so far
presented good games and have shown that they do not allow points to be lost easily.”
“Esteghlal must plan a separate tactic for each of its games in order to become the league champions. Referees are also prone to mistakes but
they must understand that their errors must be such that it does not change the main course of a game. We have now come to know the main
formation of Esteghlal and there will be no more player changes in the main
team formation. I have also warned the players to be careful about getting warnings during the games.”
