PLDC - Tehran, In an unexpected action, Farhad Majidi the former player of Esteghlal and Team Melli said goodbye to football.

Farhad Majidi who wore Esteghlal Tehran and Team Melli shirts for many years, hang up his shoes today and bade farewell to the green rectangular.

Today (Friday), Majidi, one of the effective players at Esteghlal Team with a suitable performance who had become popular for the fans of Esteghlal, finally decided to say goodbye to football at the age of 36.

The captain of the blue shirts was not willing to play in any team except Esteghlal in spite of many offers made to his, but the authorities of this team especially Amir Ghalenoei did not want him to be in the team and Majidi when separated from Esteghlal to play for Qatar Al Gharafa FC team in the last season, could no longer join the blue-shirts of the capital, Tehran, when Ghalenoei joined the team.

Majidi was cheered by the fans of Esteghlal in the last plays and they demanded his return to their favorite team. But, Ghalenoei did not take it seriously until Majidi bid farewell to the world of playing.
