PFDC - SINT TRUIDEN, Future Team Melli striker Reza Ghoochannejhad returned from the disappointing trip with Iran's national team in style, scoring both goals in his club's 2-2 draw with Dessel Sport on Saturday.
Ghoochannejhad scored the opening goal and a late equalizer after his team had fallen behind.
The fast paced attacker had trained with Iran's national team, but due to the non-arrival of his FIFA player passport could neither participate in the friendly match draw in Jordan, nor the shocking defeat in Lebanon in World Cup qualification.
Ghoochannejhad had been Sint Truiden's top scorer last season, but couldn't prevent the club's relegation from Belgium's top flight.
He recently signed a contract with Belgian top club Standard Liege, but agreed to stay with his old club until the winter break.
