PFDC - AMMAN, Iran boss Carlos Queiroz has reacted to the most recent injuries and has added Sepahan striker Mohammad Gholami to the squad.

Officially the 29-year-old replaced the injured leftback Mehrdad Pouladi, who had to be sent back home. However, with Persepolis striker Mohammad Ghazi struggling with fitness as well and Sint Truiden forward Reza Ghoochannejhad still waiting for his FIFA player passport, Gholami is rather boosting Queiroz' decreasing options upfront.

Mohammad Gholami, who arrived at the Iranian national team's camp in Amman on Thursday, has netted three times in 15 caps for Iran so far.

He currently is mostly just third choice at his new club Sepahan Esfahan behind imports Djalovic and Sukaj, having had only two appearances with no goals this season though.

Iran are currently preparing for their World Cup qualifier against Lebanon, which will take place in Beirut on Tuesday.
