PFDC - TEHRAN, Iran boss Carlos Queiroz announced his 23-man squad for the training camp in and friendly match against Jordan as well as the World Cup qualifier in Lebanon on September 11.

The roster includes Spain based Masoud Shojaei, who hadn't played for Iran's national team since the 2011 Asian Cup due a long injury including several surgeries.

Shojaei had returned to action and impressed in CA Osasuna's preseason, but had been left out of the La Liga team's squad in the two league macthes so far.

Also invited are fellow legionnaires Ashkan Dejagah, Alireza Haghighi, Lokeren target Reza Ghoochannejhad, Omid Nazari and Hadi Aghily. However, the bulk of the foreign based players will not be available for the Jordan camp and test match due to club obligations.

No Karim Ansarifard

Missing aren't only the injured Khosro Heydari and Mojtaba Jabbari as well as the  suspended Andranik Teymourian, but also Persepolis striker Karim Ansarifard.

The 21-year-old has recently lost his spot in his club's starting eleven and has come under heavy criticism for wasting too many chances in Team Melli's recent games.

Also goalkeeper Mohsen Forouzan and midfielder Reza Haghighi, who had already missed the recent training camp in Hungary due to visa issues, are not among the invitees.

Iran will hold a training camp in Jordan prior to the World Cup qualifier including a friendly match against Jordan, which has initially scheduled for September 4, but might be moved to September 5.
