TEHRANTIMES - Esteghlal striker Milad Meydavoudi will undergo a scan on his knee.
The 27-year-old player suffered a knee injury in the friendly match against Naft on Tuesday.
“I’m happy since I thought my knee ligament has been injured but after the scan I learnt I have no serious problem. I require physiotherapy according to Esteghlal doctor Mr. Norouzi,” he said.
Esteghlal football team will face Persepolis in Iran Professional League in Tehran derby on August 24.
Asked if he could play against the arch-rival, Meydavoudi said, “I will not be playing against Malavan but I hope to play against Persepolis.”
