TEHRANTIMES - Newly-appointed Persepolis coach Manual Jose has told fans they may have to be patient as his plans for Persepolis cannot be implemented soon.
“I’ve been here just 20 days. As I’ve already said we need time. In this difficult period, the fans have to be patient and support us. Our team is quality and can improve. In football, nothing is certain,” the 66-year-old Portuguese said.
“Our objective is to play well. I knew that I had a tough task in Persepolis but I accepted to take charge of the team. With patience, everything will be all right,” Jose added.
Persepolis is to face newly-promoted Gahar Zagros on Monday.
“The small teams are difficult to beat. We want to show a good performance against Gahar. In that case, the situation will be good. The fans have to support us,” he added.
“Persepolis is going to play modern football. Discipline will be key for us but it takes time,” Jose said.
