TEHRANTIMES - Irish striker Eamon Zayed is to extend his contract with Persepolis football team, according to the Iranian media.
Zayed opened his negotiations with Persepolis officials and reached an agreement with them to extend his contract for another year.
The 28-year-old striker joined Persepolis in the winter break and scored a hat-trick in the Tehran derby to help the popular team to come from two goals behind to beat Esteghlal.
Zayed is an Irish footballer of Tunisian and Libyan descent who also writes a weekly column on the League of Ireland website, extratime.ie.
