KABIR - Javad Nekounam, the Capitan of Iran’s national football team, said he will finish his career in Tehran. Javad plays for CA Osasuna in La Liga.

“In overall I had a great season with Osasuna. However we could be better and claim a spot for European League, but we lost some games. Beside this I have to confess that we were somehow lucky too in some games.” Javad Nekounam said.

“I have received great offers from Turkey, Qatar and Iran. In the previous season a Turkish club was negotiating with Osasuna over transferring me. Now Al Gharafa is ready to sign with me. Al Gharafa offered a €2 deal. Also they will pay €2 to Osasuna. But my first priority is continuing my career here in Osasuna. I spent good years in La Liga and Im pleased with my life in Spain. Currently I don’t think about money otherwise I would chose Turkey or Qatar.” Javad Nekounam continued.

“My friends in Iran suggest me to stay at Osasuna and end my career here. But I want to finish my career in Tehran.” Javad Nekounam added.

Nekounam is one of the most popular players inside Iran. He represented the Iranian national team over 120 times, appearing in several major tournaments, including the 2006 World Cup.
