KABIR - Eamon Zayed, the Libyan striker who used to play in Ireland league, extends his contract with his current club Persepolis for another season.
“We met Royanian (the manager of Persepolis) and due to the high interest of Eamon in Persepolis, we decided to extend his contract with the club for the next season.” Zayed’s agent said. “After compromising on this subject, Zayed went to a trip. He will come back to Tehran in the next month and we will finalize the deal.”
“I had several offers from European clubs beside bids by Emirates and Saudi Arabia based clubs. But I decided to continue my presence in Iran and I my career will be lasted in Persepolis. I will only play for this team in Iran because I really love it.” Eamon Zayed told reporters. In answer to a question regarding the tough competition between Persepolis’ strikers in the next season, Zayed said: “I always like competence. Its completely conceivable that I want to become the first and the most reliable forward in the club, so I will try to fight. Also Im going to become the top scorer of Iran Pro League in the next season.”
Eamon Zayed scored 12 goals in his 15 appearances for Persepolis.
