Persepolis is to play Al Shabab in Group D while the Emirati team has no chance to advance to the knockout stage with only two points after five matches.
Persepolis defeated Al Shabab 6-1 in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium on March 21.
“We understand Al Shabab would be a dangerous team since the match will not put pressure on them. Persepolis is expecting a tough match since Al Shabab is a strong football team,” Denizli said.
“We’ve come here to get a good result and are not afraid of our rival but I ask the AFC officials why the Al Hilal and Al Garrafa match will start after our match? This is my question. In the Champions League competitions the final matches will be held at the same time,” the 63-yer-old coach said.
