Iran to play Syria friendly – report



TEHRANTIMES - The Iran football team will play a friendly against Syria in early September, according to Syrian media.

Iran will host Syria in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium on 4 September.

Iran will reportedly also play Iraq on 25 May in Turkey.

Iran will also host the Mozambique national team on May 2.

Persians are gearing up for the final stage of Asian qualifying for the 2014 World Cup.

Carlos Queiroz’s team has been grouped with South Korea, Uzbekistan, Lebanon and Qatar in the competition.
