Iranian journalist Mavaddat dies aged 57



TEHRANTIMES - Iranian veteran sports journalist Ali Mavaddat has died at age of the 57 late Friday.

Maveddat passed away in Tehran’s Shari’ati Hospital after suffering a stroke.

Mavaddat was brother of late Bahram Mavaddat, who was goalkeeper of Persepolis and Sepahan during 1970s.

He will be laid to rest at the Behesht-e Zahra Cemetery on Sunday and will be remembered by all his colleagues and relatives.

The Tehran Times staff offers its heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family.
