Queiroz

TEHRANTIMES - Iran football coach Carlos Queiroz said that the team needs to prepare well in order to make the cut for the 2014 World Cup.

In a draw held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Friday, Iran has been grouped with South Korea, Uzbekistan, Lebanon and Qatar in the final stage of Asian qualifying for the 2014 World Cup.

"The most important thing for us is that we start preparing now for the Final Round because this group has serious candidates for qualification and we cannot afford to relax,” the Portuguese coach said.

“We will compete in all games with dignity and to do this there is only one way and that is to prepare well because preparation is the one thing that is completely in our control,” Queiroz added.

South Korea team coach Chun Han-jin said the Iranian football team is a big opponent in the group.

"Iran, as always, is a strong team and we expect them to be a big challenge," the South Korean coach said.

"We have to make sure that we are ready to compete strongly and leave no room for error in each match. We will approach every match as if it were the last match,” said Chun Han-jin
