In a statement issued on Wednesday, the athletes stressed Iran’s indisputable right to pursue nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
They also reiterated the will of the Iranian nation to pursue the path of progress of the country.
The sports figures further stressed that other Iranian scientists will surely follow the path of their martyred colleagues.
Such world ranking sports figures as soccer players Ali Parvin and Mehdi Mahdavikia, wrestlers Mansour Barzegar and Amir Reza Khadem and weightlifters Hossein Rezazadeh and Behdad Salimi have signed the statement.
