Ali Karimi does not cherish facing Persepolis

PLDC -Ali Karimi, Iranian star of Al Ahli of the UAE, has been in the news again lately and in one match is even supposed to have brought actual tears to the eyes of the opponent team with his great skill. There have also been rumors of him wanting to face Persepolis, his old team, for a match against his UAE club, in the Asian Clubs Super Cup tournament. 

Karimi firmly rejected the rumors and said, “I hope that we don’t play against either Persepolis or Esteghlal, because I am not happy about playing against a team from my own country. Of course if such a thing happens, I’ll do my best and use all my skills because of devotion to my job.”

“I must admit that Persepolis and Esteghlal are both stronger than Al Ahli, but I have no motivation to play against them. Despite the numerous offers I have received, the UAE prefers to keep me on.”
