Osasuna midfielder Masoud Shojaei has had surgery in Germany on his left foot which he damaged earlier this season.
The Iran international has been sidelined since April after damaging his foot during a clash with La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid and has since had three operations in an attempt to heal the injury.
However the playmaker has had to fly to Germany to get fix the problem.
Osasuna released a statement on its official website stating that there had been complications during the operation at Hessingpark clinic, with the club's Chief Medical Officer Dr Patxi Cipriain also present. It was also revealed that the player required a titanium plate.
Shojaei will stay in Germany for 15 days to recuperate before travelling to Pamplona to continue his recovery.
