MNA - Persepolis earned its second successive victory in the Iran Professional League (IPL) on Friday.

Persepolis defeated Saba 2-0 at Tehran’s Azadi Stadium. Hadi Norouzi scored the Reds’ first goal in the 12th minute, poking the ball through the legs of Saba keeper Hamed Lak.
The second half was a lackluster show since the two teams displayed a lack of energy.

However, in the dying minutes of the game Gholamreza Rezaei scored Persepolis’ second goal, sending the ball into the back of the empty net. It’s Rezaei’s first goal for Persepolis in the current season.

Persepolis moved up to the sixth place in IPL standings.

Week ninth results are as follows:
* Rah Ahan 0 – 2 Sanat Naft
* Traktorsazi 3 – 1 Mes
* Foolad 1 – 0 Sepasi
* Shahin 1 – 1 Damash
