National Iranian Football Team draws nil-nil equal in friendly against Ukrainian club According to the IRNA sports correspondent, the Iranian side that was playing its first official match under the supervision of its new Portuguese Coach Carlos Queiroz played each half of the preparatory match with a different set up.
The players at the match, played at a station in Obervat city, fifty kilometers from the Austrian capital city, Vienna, were the full national team combination, save for Arash Afshin, Karim Ansarifard, Hadi Nourouzi, and Mehrdad Owladi.
According to the report, at the 57th minute of the game the Ukranian team gained a penalty shot, which was kicked by Metalik Kharkov’s Marco Dovic, and was blocked by the Iranian goal keeper, Ali-Reza Haqiqi.
The two teams’ ninety minute efforts led to no goal and the game ended nil-nil equal.
The Iranian national team would probably play two more preparatory friendly games against two more clubs present in the region on Friday and Saturday, whose news would be announced if they are finalized.
The Islamic Republic of Iran’s National Football Team arrived in Austria’s Loipersdorf City, 170 kilometers from Vienna, for a twelve day camp, last Wednesday.
