Persepolis edged Pas 2-1 at the Qods Stadium in Hamedan and moved up to the fourth place.
Mohammad Nouri scored for Persepolis in the 34th minute and Hadi Norouzi extended the lead three minutes later.
Pas of Hamadan pulled a goal back when Persepolis defender Sepehr Heydari wrongly put the ball into back of the own net.
In another match, Sepahan beat Shahrdari of Tabriz 2-1 in an away game. Ebrahim Toure had a brace in the 16th and 72nd and Mohammad-Ali Karimi scored a consolation goal in the added time.
“I am happy because we won a difficult match. Shahrdari of Tabriz put us under intense pressure and made life difficult for us,” Sepahan coach Amir Ghalenoei said in the post-match news conference.
The Isfahan-based team jumped to the second place with 46 points and one game in hand behind Zob Ahan with 49 points. Esteghlal is third with 45 points and Persepolis is fourth with 43 points.
