The former Iran Olympic coach has replaced Sanat Naft’s Portuguese coach Acacio Casimiro.
“I know that I will have a difficult job in Sanat Naft, but I am here to take charge of the team for the rest of the season. I’ve reached an agreement with the club. First of all, we are going to avoid relegation,” Peyrovani said.
“Some coaches have said that even Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson would not be successful in Sanat Naft, but I am optimistic and think that we can get good results,” he added.
Peyrovani has been out of a team since the 2010 Asian Games in which Iran finished fourth.
Sanat Naft is 10th with 32 points in Iran Professional League table standings.
