In the match held at the Azadi Stadium, Esteghlal was held to a goalless draw against Mes.
The Tehran-based team missed the opportunity to close the gap on IPL table leader Zob Ahan who has a match in hand.
“We missed so many opportunities against Mes and I am not satisfied with one point in a home game,” Esteghlal coach Parviz Mazloomi said in a post match news conference.
Esteghlal remains second in IPL standing table with 45 points followed by Sepahan (43 points) and Traktorsazi (41 points).
Zob Ahan is on top with 48 points.
