In the letter, a copy of which was sent to the Iran Football Federation, the Kyrgyz football officials stated that the weather is very cold in Bishkek and is not suitable to host a football match.
The match is scheduled to be held on March 9 in the Kyrgyz capital.
However, the two teams will now have to wait for FIFA’s decision on whether to reschedule the game or not.
Iran defeated Kyrgyzstan 1-0 in the first leg, which was played at Tehran’s Azadi Stadium on February 23.
Bakhtiar Rahmani scored Iran’s only goal from a free kick.
