| TEHRAN The red-clad team of Pirouzi crushed the top-placed Isfahani side, Zob Ahan, 3-0 at the 10th-week match of Iran's Premier Clubs Championships held here Friday on the pitch of Azadi Stadium, leading the table. Playing in front of over 20,000 fans on a muddy field, the reds' midfielder Hamed Kavianpour scored the opener in the third minute and an own goal by Ebrahim Taqipour made it 2-0 four minutes from the break. Leis-Nobari completed the rout after scoring his late goal in the 88th minute. In other matches, Pas of Tehran and Abu Moslem of Mashhad -- the host team -- tied 1-1. In the 32nd minute, Mostafa Senoubari put Abu Moslem ahead while former national striker Khadadad Azizi leveled the match 10 minutes from the time. In Anzali's Takhti Stadium, Malavan managed to defeat Tractor Sazi of Tabriz 3-0 with the goals scored by Seyed Mehdi Hosseini, Reza Safarkhah and Mohammad Gholami in the first, 73rd and 86th minutes respectively. Another match ended in a 1-1 draw in Hafezieh Stadium, Shiraz, where the two teams of Fajr-e Sepassi and SAIPA of Tehran shared the points. Reza Rezaei-Kamal of Fajr converted the penalty in the 36th minute and SAIPA equalizer came in the 58th minute when Hossein Kazemi netted from a free-kick. |
