The Director of the International Committee of Iran Football Federation (IFF) Abbas Torabian told ISNA that, "since we did not want to lose FIFA dates, we agreed that the two squads meet in Dubai on Feb 9 after we found that Russian national soccer team is to have a camp in Dubai in the second month of 2011."
He added, "the decision came following talks with officials of Russian Football Federation."
Russia is to host World Cup 2018.
