Iran U-23 football team loses to Japan [VIDEO]

MNA - Iran’s Under-23 football team missed a chance to qualify for the final game of the 2010 Asian Games after being beaten by Japan on Tuesday.

The four-time Asian Games champion lost to Japan 2-1 at the Yuexiu Stadium.
An early goal from Arash Afshin in the 6th minute put the Iranian team in the lead but Kota Mizunuma cancelled out his goal in the 38th minute.

Kensuke Nagai scored Japan’s second goal in the 60th minute.
 
Elsewhere, the UAE defeated South Korea in another semifinal match. The final match will be played on Friday.
