MNA - Iran and Persepolis football legend Ali Parvin was appointed as chief executive officer of Steel Azin football club on Saturday.

Struggling Steel Azin has suffered seven defeats after 14 weeks in the ongoing Iran football league competitions. The team was considered to be one of the main contenders for winning the title in the current season.

“I am here to do my best. First of all, we are going to solve our technical problems,” Parvin said in a news conference held at the club.

The 63-year-old made 76 caps for Iran national team in the 70’s. Parvin is also Persepolis’ most successful player and coach. He played 278 times for the most popular team in Iran.
