AFC - Jordan and Iran started their AFC U-19 Women’s Football Championship qualifying campaign with impressive victories over Bangladesh and India respectively.

Jordan thrashed the hosts 6-1 while Iran sidelined India 4-2.

Sabina Khatun gave Bangladesh a dream start with a ninth-minute strike but Ayah Faisal restored the parity from the spot in the 35th minute. Shahnaz Yaseen made it 2-1 three minutes later.

Shahnaz scored her second of the night five minutes after the hour mark and Shatha Wahbi made it 4-1 in the 75th minute. Shahnaz completed her hat-trick in the stoppage time.

Farhadhikah Parvin drew the first blood for Iran in the 17th minute but Bindya Rani levelled the scores eight minutes later.

Farhadhikah again put Iran ahead in the 31st minute only to see Rina making it 2-2 for the Indians. Substitute Shadi Bahrami scored Iran’s third and Farhadhikah scored her third to ensure a convincing victory for her side.
