AFC - Tehran: Iran coach Afshin Ghotbi has started weighing his options for the starting line-up as they prepare for the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2011™.

Team Melli are eyeing to end a 36-year continental title drought in Doha next year.

Iran defeated Armenia 3-1 in a friendly last week but Ghotbi was not that impressed with the side’s performance.

“We were not an organised team in the first half and conceded one goal but changed our line-up after the break and fought back with three goals,” he said after a team’s training session of the team.

“Our objective is to find the best line-up for the AFC Asian Cup. Hopefully, our players who accompanied the team to Armenia are capable to be in the Iran set-up.”

The three-time Asian champions have been drawn in a tough group alongside reigning Asian champions Iraq, DPR Korea and UAE for the Doha extravaganza.
