MNA - Persepolis football coach Ali Daei said that his team should not have been the losing side against Saba Battery.

Persepolis lost to Saba Battery 2-1 in the second week of the Iran’s Professional League (IPL) on Sunday night.

“First of all, I congratulate Saba on their victory; however, I must say Persepolis didn’t deserve to lose. We conceded two silly goals against our rival and our players didn’t take advantage of the opportunities they had,” Daei said in a post match news conference.

“Saba Battery played a really defensive game and blocked us. We could equalized the match if our Brazilian midfielder Tiago had scored the penalty kick,” the Persepolis coach concluded.
