Iran will be eyeing to clinch their fourth consecutive and fifth overall title in the sixth edition of the tournament to be played at the Amman International Stadium from September 24 to October 3, 2010.
Iran, who defeated Jordan 2-1 in the final in Tehran in 2008, won this crown in 2000, 2004 and 2007 while Iraq claimed the title in 2002.
Hosts and last year’s runners-up Jordan were placed in Group B alongside Syria and Kuwait while Group C comprise of Iraq, Yemen and Palestine.
Iran will begin their campaign against Bahrain on the opening day while Jordan will meet Syria on the same day.
Top three teams from each group and the best second-placed team from all the groups will make it to the semi-finals.
